Large Antique Color Bronze Cast Sculpture For Urban Outdoor
Decoration
Description
This large bronze cast sculpture was designed by a Chinese artist.
Jiangxue is a bronze cast sculpture with an antuque patina effect
on the surface. It is displayed at the Bronze Expo. It was
specially made for his hometown Qingdao by Tan Qiang, a young
sculptor who came from Qingdao. The overall sculpture is in the
shape of a winter-resistant flower tree, with two flower gods,
Jiangxue and Xiangyu, dancing around the tree in graceful postures.
Tan Qiang, who had seen the true form of "Jiangxue" more than once
while playing in the Taiqing Palace when he was a child, and was
fascinated by the flower god in Pu Songling's works, found the
connection point between himself and the city in Jiangxue: such a
kind of personality and attitude of people in Qingdao who are
vigorous and upbeat, gentle but also reveal tenacity, love and
justice, and go their own way should be the reflection of Qingdao
people. This may be the reason why Winter-resistant has become the
city flower. Lu You once described being able to endure winter:
"Blooming in the snow until the late spring, the most enduring
person in the world is like a king." Some people commented that
this description is much higher than Su Shi's "I come alone when
there is no one in the drizzle": Camellia is not to show its
ability to withstand cold. She chooses to bloom in the harsh winter
due to her own characteristics, but like "Jiang Xue" in Pu
Songling's works, she acts out of "I like it" in her heart. She is
willing to endure the severe winter for her close friends and look
forward to spring. It is said that Qingdao has built numerous
flowerbeds to cultivate winter-resistant flowers. The flowers bloom
in red and white, with single and complex petals. In addition, the
flowering period is long, and they bloom in the cold winter when
the flowers are withered. They are also in the grand festive
atmosphere of New Year's Day and Spring Festival, so they are more
ornamental. In Qingdao's Botanical Garden and Zhongshan Park,
special municipal gardens have been opened. This city flower,
traveling through the south, through islands and mountains, is
increasingly entering the beautiful life and spiritual world of
Qingdao people. Doesn’t such a bronze cast sculpture appropriately
tell the history of Qingdao?
